Built in 2012, Hotel Split gained much reputation and praise for its architecture and its Class A energy efficiency certificate among experts, while it impresses its guests each day over and over again. All common areas in the hotel have been named after famous locations in Split, for example the name of the atrium is Đardin (Strossmayer-Park in Split), the hall Prokurative and the conference room Zlatna vrata… The authors of the conceptual design are known architects from Split Neno Kezić and Srđan Lukšić of the architecture office Arhipolis. Hotel Split received the award of the Croatian Association of Architects and was named most beautiful new building in Croatia by the London Society of Architects in 2012.

Four-Star Hotel Split is a compact and architecturally innovative building. All design decisions were made with the aim to achieve maximum use of every inch of the building plot. The hotel has a square ground plan, the hotel rooms are organized around two vertical cores and the number of floors (basement, two souterrain floors, ground floor and two floors) has been defined in consideration of the development plan and the configuration of the terrain. The given urban conditions and the desire that each of the 40 rooms has a sea view, resulted in designing the atrium, creating thereby a pleasant ambience and giving the hotel its identity. The atrium offers privacy with a series of terraces made of dry walls, which are distributed in such a way that the entire space provides excellent conditions for concerts or invites for outdoor dining, as the restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity. The common areas are evenly distributed on all hotel floors. Together with the straight roof and the swimming pool, the hotel forms a living entity.

The main entrance leads to the hotel reception, where a taut canvas with a unique children’s drawing acts as the ceiling, and further to the lobby bar, which extends up to the terrace that virtually “hangs” on the facade. The terrace that belongs to the lobby bar is perhaps the strongest asset of the hotel because it is clad with reflective tinted glass in which the horizon is mirrored, while the beach can be seen by looking up to the ceiling. By opening the large glass front between the bar and the terrace you will find a space that wonderful unites the indoors and outdoors.

Another highlight of the rooms in Hotel Split is the sea view directly from your bed! With a standard height of the bed the guest would look at the walls of the room. The beds were therefore increased with a stair-like pedestal to ensure a sea view in the lying position. The bathrooms have natural light because a glass wall was placed between the bathroom and room instead of a standard wall.

On the roof terrace, from which one can see the atrium and which can be reached by the panoramic elevator, you can enjoy the view and the pool. The terrace is particularly magical at night when the energy-saving and color-changing LED lighting creates a special ambience.
