Podstrana

Hotel Split is located in Podstrana, a small tourist town at the southeast end of the city of Split and only 8 km from its center. It covers an area of 11,5km2 and has about 12,000 residents. It lies at the foot of the 1,330 m high coastal ridge that belongs to the Mosor Mountains, i.e. below the 553 m high mountain Perun and at the lower course of the river Žrnovnica in the northwest and extends to the hill Mutogras in the southeast. Podstrana faces the sea and its 6 km long coastline is particularly attractive because of the beautiful, indented pebble bays and beaches, lined up like pearls on a string.

The Mediterranean climate, olive groves, dry stone walls with vineyards and peach trees, which stretch across the slopes towards the sea, the layered cultural and historical heritage and rich tradition are Podstrana’s main characteristics that provide an unforgettable experience to its visitors.

In addition to the gastronomic delights and beaches, Podstrana also offers numerous opportunities for an active holiday. Due to its interesting geographical features, there is a variety of various walking, hiking or biking trails. You can also visit the old village Podstrana or the cultural and historical attractions. Hotel Split is located on one of the beautiful beaches of Podstrana. On the western side it is adorned by the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea and a breathtaking view of the central Dalmatian islands and the Marjan Hill, in the east it extends to the main road, where it awaits and greets you every time you pass it.
